within a vessel filled with vinegar
Another vessel filled with sugar, water and yeast is placed in a room
The room is closed so the action can happen
It takes weeks
Replace the vinegar every 29 days
Replace the yeast compound when the water stops bubbling
The yeast is dead

The combined action of the acetic acid vapors,
heat and carbon dioxide from the yeast consuming the sugar
and water vapor in the air
slowly transforms the lead into basic lead carbonate
The white powder breaks off in sheets
and is scraped from the remaining lead
Replace the yeast compound when the water stops bubbling
The yeast is dead
Repeat this process until the lead completely dissolves
into white powder

In a larger vessel place the coarse white powder,
a mixing medium - such as rocks and water
Stir this mixture for several hours and strain
